Walki-Talki.com is your personal guide to the world and the new
experience in global tourism. In partnership with top local guides,
we create informative, scenic and entertaining packages that make
walki-talki.com the premiere source for self-guided mp3 audio walking
tours. Our tours are compatible with all Apple iPod models, the Apple iPhone, all PDAs, the
Microsoft Zune, iRiver players, Creative Labs players, Sandisk media players, media
capable GPS systems (such as the Garmin Nuvi models and Magellan Crossover models), generic
media players (memory sticks) and all media capable cellular/mobile phones.
Walki-Talki.com was co-founded by Jed Payne, Payam Minoofar, and
Ben Silburn in Amsterdam in 2005. Our mission is to be the most useful,
the most affordable and the most comprehensive walking tour site on
the internet.
 JED PAYNE has worked as a travel writer for Gem magazine and written
travel books for Explorer Publishing. He was born in Columbus, Ohio and has lived all over the world including Australia and Japan. He currently lives in
Amsterdam.
 PAYAM MINOOFAR
became a traveler by virtue of the Iranian Revolution of 1979 and the Iran-Iraq war. After
spending some time in Israel, he moved to the United States in 1982. He moved to Amsterdam for a
postdoctoral fellowship in 2004, where he became friends with Jed. Jed was among the bevy of
wonderful friends Payam inherited from the great Jerry Colonna in Amsterdam.
Calamity befell Payam one beautiful summer day in Amsterdam when Jed conceived the idea of selling
walking tours online, and Payam confessed to having the know-how to make it happen. The project
has come to fruition, and it is now maturing. He contributes from Los Angeles. The morbidly curious

 BEN SILBURN is a writer and presenter for BBC Radio and
Television, currently reporting for Fast Track, the BBC World television
travel show. He has visited every continent, and his favourite travel destination
is Southeast Asia for its perfect combination of great people, great
scenery and great food. He lives in Amsterdam.
