...there is still plenty of solid info... Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed
the lighthearted approach, and even found ourselves laughing out loud at one of the gags ..."
What I like about this particular company is the very proper
British accent of the narrator, BBC broadcaster Ben Silburn. His accent lends just the right
amount of class and sophistication to the podcast, elevating what would normally be a simple
walk through town into a cultural immersion.
Those of you who like that personal touch of a private tour guide but don't want to drop the

The tour actually provides a lot of really interesting facts about the city...
The tour was incredibly well-paced, though, unlike many audio guides I've experienced.
...this one was well-done and I enjoyed my walk around the city."

WALKI-TALKI.COM ANNOUNCES LAUNCH
Press Release
July 1, 2006
Walki-Talki.com announces the launch of its new website offering audio walking
tours of cities throughout Europe in MP3 format. Tours can be downloaded direct
from the site and played on any iPod or MP3 compatible device. The tours are
voiced by BBC travel guru Ben Silburn and produced with the independent
traveler in mind, providing unique commentary, history, and insider tips
along the way. Site founder Jed Payne believes the tours are a unique
alternative to the traditional walking tour by allowing travelers to explore
at their own pace. ''We partner with local guides and try to show people a
different side of the city--places they might not see with a large travel group.''
The site currently has seven different tours including Amsterdam, Berlin,
Edinburgh, London, Madrid, Paris and Rome, with plans to add new tours each
month.
